อธิบายหลักของ APPEAR: Analysis and Prediction of Performance for Evolving Architectures
แบ่งออกเป็นสองส่วน คือ
1. การวัดประสิทธิภาพ existing applications ด้วย statistical regression model
2. การทำนายประสิทธิภาพ new applications ด้วย calibrated model
มีขั้นตอนดังนี้
Step 0. Virtual Service Platform identification.
Step 1. Definition of use cases for the existing applications.
- การประกาศ use case สำหรับวัดประสิทธิภาพ existing applications
Step 2. Collection of measurements.
- การประกาศ use case สำหรับค่า parameters ที่มีความแตกต่างกัน และ เหมือนกัน
Step 3. Construction of a simulation model.
- สร้างโครงสร้างของ simulation model เพื่อสนับสนุน Step 4.
Step 4. Signature extraction for the existing applications.
- เป็นการดึง Signature ออกมาจาก existing applications
Step 5. Construction of a prediction model.
- ใช้หลักการของ statistical regression model
Step 6. Definition of the use cases for new applications.
Step 7. Signature extraction for the new applications.
Step 8. Performance prediction for the new applications.
